About Us

Polyglot Coaching was founded in 2008 by Inge Dowden. A polyglot is someone who speaks a lot of languages, and Inge is fluent in 6! She has a degree in International Business and spent 15 years working as an Export Manager, mainly in engineering.

After a divorce and a redundancy she took 2 years out, went to Italy to learn Italian, visited friends and family in Europe, travelled through Thailand for a month and ended up teaching English in Mexico. Her love for people, her interest in other cultures and her eternal optimism were a source of inspiration for many and once she returned to the UK, she knew that she wanted to help other people to be as happy and fulfilled as she was. She decided to become a life and career coach.

She qualified with distinction from the Coaching Academy, the UK’s number One coach training facility. She trained in Personal, Corporate & Executive and Small Business Coaching and as a protégé student she continues her personal development all the time. She is also a qualified NLP practitioner, which gives her the tools to facilitate effective change where required.
